What if Jesus’ family tree was more than a list of hard-to-pronounce names, but a window into God’s heart and plan? In this week’s message, we step into Matthew 1 and discover how the genealogy and birth of Jesus are the opening chapter of a much bigger story—stretching from Abraham and David, through exile in Babylon, all the way to a carpenter named Joseph and a young woman named Mary. We see how Jesus fulfills God’s promises, carries Israel’s story forward, and embodies the name “Yahweh saves” and the promise “God with us.” Along the way, we’re reminded that God works through messy people and broken stories, and that Jesus shows us what it truly means to be human and to bless the world. Listen in as we consider who we are in light of who Jesus is, and how we might respond to Him today.

What if the end of the Bible isn’t really an ending—but a new beginning? This week, we close Revelation and trace the presence of God through the story of Scripture: the Garden, the Temple, Jesus, the Cross, the Spirit, and finally New Creation. From Genesis to Revelation, God has been moving toward us—refusing to stay distant, making a way for His presence to dwell with His people. In Revelation 21–22, we’re reminded that the Lamb is victorious, the invitation is still open, and Jesus is making all things new—starting in us. As we wait for His return, we live as faithful witnesses, carrying the invitation to anyone who is thirsty: come, receive the water of life.
Join us as we look back at the whole story to see where it’s all headed—and how it changes the way we live right now!

What do we do when the world around us feels like Babylon—loud, overwhelming, and full of competing allegiances? This week, Bryan guides us through Revelation 17–19 and the sweeping biblical story behind the idea of Babylon, tracing it from Genesis to the prophets, to Jesus, and finally into John’s vision. With clarity and compassion, he shows how Babylon isn’t just an ancient empire but a recurring pattern of human kingdoms that choose power, domination, and idolatry over the way of the Lamb.
Through vivid imagery, Scripture, and the “third way” revealed by Jeremiah, we’re invited to live as exiles—blessing our enemies, resisting idolatry, and holding fast to Jesus in a world that pulls us in every direction.
Listen and be encouraged to discern wisely, persevere faithfully, and remember where your true home is: in the presence of God.

When life feels chaotic and confusing, what mark are we living from—the beast or the Lamb? In this week’s message, we step into Revelation 12–14, where a cosmic drama unfolds: the dragon rages, counterfeit powers mimic the Trinity, and the faithful are called to endure. Bryan shows how apocalyptic imagery doesn’t predict headlines—it unveils Jesus’ victory and invites our allegiance today. We trace the story back to Genesis 3:15—the first whisper of the gospel—and forward to the Lamb standing on Mount Zion with a people sealed by His name. The question lands close to home: where are we compromising, and what would it look like to be “marked by the Lamb” in our habits, loves, and loyalties? Take heart—because of the Lamb who was slain, faithful witness is possible, hopeful, and beautiful. Listen in, reflect, and practice allegiance to Jesus this week.

What if worship isn’t just songs, but the center that steadies our whole lives? Today we step into Revelation 4–5, where the veil is pulled back and we glimpse the throne, the living creatures crying “Holy, holy, holy,” and the Lamb who was slain—and we discover why true worship reorders everything. Bryan shows how apocalyptic writing isn’t doom-talk but unveiling: like Isaiah and Ezekiel, John sees reality as it truly is. We contrast Babylon’s power with Jesus’ self-giving love, trace the scrolls, seals, and trumpets, and meet a global people who endure because their allegiance is to the Lamb. The way we worship rules the way we live—so what would a “reel” of our week say we value most? Lean in, reflect, and let this vision recentre your heart on the One who is worthy. Listen and be encouraged.

What comes to mind when we hear “apocalypse”? In this week’s message, we rediscover the biblical meaning of *apokalypsis*—not devastation, but revelation: an unveiling of Jesus and God’s kingdom breaking into our present. Bryan walks us through Revelation 1 and shows how the book functions as letter, prophecy, and apocalyptic vision—written to real churches under pressure, and still speaking to us today. We’re invited to read Revelation as a lens that exalts the living Christ, strengthens hope in the midst of “Babylon,” and gathers the Bible’s storylines into one: the slain Lamb who reigns. Along the way, we visit Luke 2, Galatians 1, Daniel 7, Zechariah 12, and Ephesians 6 to see how Scripture interprets Scripture. Listen in, be encouraged, and practice reading Revelation with worshipful confidence and non-anxious faith.

This week at Oaks Church, we’re honored to welcome Dr. Jimmie Simpson, pastor of Westview Baptist Church, the congregation that so generously hosts Oaks each week.
Preaching from Ephesians 2:1–10, Dr. Jimmie shares his own powerful testimony of transformation—from brokenness and addiction to freedom and faith in Christ. His message centers on two life-changing words: “But God.”
Through raw honesty and deep humility, he reminds us that salvation isn’t something we can earn—it’s a gift of grace. No matter your past or how far you’ve wandered, God’s mercy is greater. When we surrender, His grace meets us right where we are and makes us new.
Join us as we celebrate the relentless love of God that saves, restores, and sends us to walk in good works He prepared long before we could deserve them.

Every day, we’re surrounded by competing messages—some loud, some subtle. From “do what makes you happy” to “turn or burn,” the noise can distort the truth. In this week’s message, Bryan leads us through 1 John to remind us of the message that truly matters: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. When we walk in His light, we find fellowship, forgiveness, and freedom from sin. And because God is love, that light shines brightest when we love one another—not just in words, but in action and truth.
Join us as we explore what it means to hear, believe, and live the message of Christ—allowing His light and love to illuminate our lives and lead us into deeper fellowship with Him and each other.

In this message, Bryan reminds us that “it’s always darkest before the dawn,” exploring how this truth plays out both in Scripture and in our own lives. Walking through John 13–19, he shows how Jesus prepared His disciples to face the unknown through three simple but powerful practices: abide, pray, and remember. When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, we are called to remain connected to Christ, to pray for unity and strength, and to remember the hope secured through the cross and resurrection. This teaching invites us to find peace and purpose in the presence of Jesus—even in the darkest moments—knowing that the dawn is coming.

In this sermon, Bryan takes us through the stories of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus to highlight the importance of our posture before Jesus. From Mary sitting at His feet as a disciple, to pouring out costly perfume in worship, and finally to Jesus Himself washing His disciples’ feet, we see examples of discipleship, devotion, and servanthood. Bryan challenges us to examine our own posture—are we coming to Jesus as a disciple, a worshiper, or a servant—and invites us to choose daily to sit at His feet, pour out our love, and serve others in His name
